My bill:
- Kernaca (Qofte or Kebab), 3 x 30 Lek (I ordered only 3)
- Buke (bread), 10 Lek

Bulgaria

Sofia

Manastirska Magernitsa
Recommended in Lonely Planet.
It said they collected recipes from many monasteries around Bulgaria.
It's a touristic place with traditional setting, and it's not cheap.
My bill:
- Rabbit with expired..., BGN 23.80
- Live (draught) Beer, BGN 5.40
Total BGN 29.20 (EUR 14.93)

Soup House
This shop, opens 24 hours, is located on the big road Hristo Botev Boulevard.
Visited at dawn, after arriving at Sofia bus terminal, walking on the way to Hostel Mostel, I saw this restaurant.
As a fan of soup, I couldn't resist to stop.
Ordered tribe soup, was really good, came along with bread.
I forgot how much I paid though.

Rila

There are only 3 restaurants around the monastery.
We chose the one less crowded, across the car road, called Restaurant Drushliavitza, but still took ages before we were served.
I ordered trout, our guide said recommended.
It was listed in Appetizer section, and the price indicated in 100gr unit, I thought it was cheap and ordered. But in actual it came 700gr fish, and had to pay 7 times from the price on the menu!
I ordered also ox tongue in tomato stew.

Plovdiv

Dayana
It's a popular local restaurant and has 4 branches in Plovdiv.
I visited with Lam, free tour fellow, to the branch near the main pedestrian street.
Agreed with what mentioned in Lonely Planet, "Portions are fit to feed an army."

Kosovo

Prishtina

Mery's Food & Coffee
Located strategically on the main pedestrian street, Mother Theresa Boulevard.
Was attracted with the menu of the day that day, i.e. Chicken Teriyaki Rice.
Was craving for rice and Asian food that day.
The menu of the day that day was Chicken Teriyaki Rice and Vegetable Soup, for EUR 4.9.
Beer was EUR 1.5.

Tiffany
Recommended in Lonely Planet.
It's a unique restaurant, hidden in the garden of the back of Fehmiagani street (the street where Han Hostel is located) where many restaurants are located. The location is on the map on Arukikata but there is no description.
There is not name display in front of the restaurant, and there is no menu.
The staff only asked me, "do you want from the grill or from the oven?"
I said I wanted from the oven, then they brought me 2 nice pot of traditional meal.
2 pot of meal was too much, 1 was enough for 1 person like me actually.
I think they are not the only restaurant without name display.
Tried to find the other one recommended in Lonely Planet, named "Renaissance II" but couldn't find it.
Wonder how LP got these hidden restaurants info.
My bill:
- Beer, EUR 1.60
- Elbasan..., EUR 4
- Sarma..., EUR 4

Prizren

Te Syla
Ordered mix kebab and beer.
Located front the river, recommended in Arukikata.
Old restaurant, good value.

Te Besniku
A cafe near the bus terminal.
Order a cup of coffee, comes with a blueberry juice (free), cost EUR 0.5, wonderful.

Macedonia

Skopje

Destan
This is the best and yummiest kebab I ate in my life... too exaggerated?! at least during my traveling to 7 countries in Balkan, this is the best meal I got.
Not only the juicy meat, the grilled paprika and the warm bread, all were great.
They are located in the Turkish old town.
Also recommended by Lonely Planet, but not as written, "There's no menu; everyone gets the same thing, served gruffly by the non-English-speaking staff...", there was menu and the staff spoke English, though I didn't see the menu, just ordered the kebab.
My bill:
- 10 pcs. shish kebab, MKD 210
- Beer, MKD 120

Pivnica "An"
Recommended in Lonely Planet.
Located a bit hidden inside a historic caravanserai (old time traveler hotel) inside the Turkish old town, not far from the bridge Kameni Most.
The taste was so so.
My bill:
- Pork Rib, MKD 540
- Draught Beer Skopsko, MKD 110

Temov (wine bar and beer garden)
Recommended in Lonely Planet.
They have a wine bar, located at the upper end of the alley full of bars, and a beer yard located further stairs up, just in front of Sveti Pass church.
The wine bar was quite quite and the beer bar was crowded and there was a live band at nights.
The beer bar was nice with outdoor area around a fountain.

Ohrid

Antiko
Recommended in Arukikata and Lonely Planet, inside the old city of Ohrid, in an old house.

My friend ordered the fried small fish, called plasnica, which was great and cheap.
I ordered trout.
Only bottle beer was available.

Montenegro

Kotor

Bastion I
Recommended by Arukikata.
It was located near the north east gate.
They had another branches I saw just outside the nearby old town gate.
I think it was touristic place and the food was not really good quality, for example, they used fake crab, not real crab.
I ordered mix seafood plate (as recommended in Arukikata) and wine, paid EUR 19.
My bill:
- Mijesana riba ala bastion, EUR 16
- Pivo niksicko gold, EUR 2 (bottle beer)
- Kuver, EUR 1 (don't know what it is)

Konoba Scala Santa
It was located in the small square nearby Old Town Hostel.
The seafood mix plate was better than Bastion.
Had the dinner with new fellow Spanish and Irish friends (nice ladies) met during the day trip.

Konoba Roma
Located in the small square near Old Town Hostel.
Just had a rakija (EUR 2.50) while listening to a nice live guitar singing by a young guy.

The Northern Tour

Restaurant Kastel
We stopped here for breakfast.
I ordered the steam dumpling, didn't like it.
The Russian girl in the same tour, she ordered a big fried filled cheese, the taste was OK, but the volume was too large.

Sur Luna
The lunch after visiting Durmitor National Park.
I ordered pork ribs copying other table order. The taste was OK, but the volume was too big I couldn't finish it.

Ulcinj

Restaurant Dulcinea
One of restaurants in the old town up the cliff.
They got terrace seating with view of the beach.
Ordered fish soup and beer. Nice lunch.

Slovenia

Just located near the swimming place at Lake Bled.

The taste was so so.

Slascicarna Zima
Famous for its kremna rezina, as per LP, a layer of vanilla custard topped with whipped cream and sandwiched between two layers of flaky pastry.
Yummy.
My bill:
- Kremna rezina, EUR 2.9
- Kava Expresso (coffee espresso), EUR 1.2
- Presna Torta, EUR 4.2

Poticnica Blejski Otok
Located in the island inside Lake Bled, this cafe in front of the church offered cake and drink set for EUR 5.5.
The cake was better in look.

Bohinj

Gostilna Mihoc at Stara Fuzina
Recommended in Lonely Planet.
One of few restaurants in Stara Fuzina, not far from our hotel.
